Every month, the Arts and Science Salon brings scientists and artists together for their mutual enrichment. This gathering of friends is a stimulating opportunity to connect with each other, hear and share new ideas. Each month, we will sample the best of what New York's nicest and warmest restaurants have to offer, with different themes and special surprises from time to time.

June Event - "The Science of Magic"
The NY Arts & Sciences Salon presents our June event:
"The Science of Magic"!
Magician Mark Mitton and Vallejo Gantner, artistic director of PS122, will lead us through an enchanted evening.
This amazing evening was conceptualized by Vallejo. Performance Space 122 (PS122) is an amazing New York institution that has been providing performance space, sponsorships and support for emerging live performance artists from diverse genres, cultures and perspectives since the 1980's. During the cocktail hour, Vallejo will talk with us about their vision and magic, and what is to come.
One artist associated with PS 122 is Magician Mark Mitton. Throughout dinner, Mark Mitton will delight you with magical presentations. Beyond that, Mark counts among his friends many of the top scientists and mathematicians, and Mark often guest lectures at math, science, psychology and other university classes about the science and math behind magic and the perception of illusion. We will hear just a little about the inner workings of magic and illusion, but he will keep some of his tricks to himself...
Cocktails 6:30pm - Dinner ~8pm
Punch Restaurant - 21st Street and Broadway
Please help us facilitate the evening by pre-paying for your dinner. The 55$ cost covers three-courses, tax and tip. There will be a cash bar available.
Hope to see you!
Alex, Logan, Robert, Malika and Kambiz
